After viewing the orientation video, please read the following information:
The cassette/CD duplication service fee is $12.00 for the academic year and it must be paid for by check or money order. Registration for the service begins on Sept. 8th. Check with the Lab Assistant for the audio series on CDs that are available through the service.
Bring your RUID card to sign in and to borrow materials at any Lab. Signing in and out at the CAC and DC Labs is computerized using your RUID.
Computer activities involving foreign language CD-ROMs, word processing and the Internet might be assigned as part of your course requirements. The College Avenue Lab’s computer system allows access to many audio and video programs in a digital format. Check with the Lab Assistant for the current list of course materials available digitally. There is a tutorial program on each computer to show you how to access the A/V files. There is no need to reserve computers in advance at College Avenue. However, the Douglass Lab has only two computers that must be reserved using the same procedure as for reserving VCRs. The Livingston Lab currently does not have computers. Language Lab computers are to be used to do foreign language assignments only. Computer work for all other disciplines must be done at the general access computing labs: College Avenue Computing Center - Records Hall; Rutgers Student Center Lab - Lower Level; Satellite Lab behind the Kreeger Learning Resource Center; Alexander Library Undergraduate Computing Lab - Room 156.
Student use of lab computers and printers is monitored for compliance with university computing policies.
